To keep the visuals interesting, I added logos, callouts of geography, important text, and supporting b-roll. While these are simple and quick implementations, I believe having a brief moment of visual stimulus helps keeps things interesting. My inspiration comes from films from Vox, where they are able to effectively use motion graphics in order to educate while keeping viewers engaged.
I believe we can follow a similar approach when it comes to creating demos, particularly during this time when keynotes are virtual. In my opinion, the traditional keynote set-up with a few slides and a strong talk track isn’t enough stimulus for an online audience. In collaboration with the events and studios team, we can work to add more animations to improve watch time, information recall, and engagement. This will allow Microsoft to continue to be positioned as a thought leader and at the forefront of creating amazing virtual event experiences.
